Day 5 of Gnarly Gnails Neverending Pile Challenge - Jelly. Ahhhh day 5, I’ve been waiting for this day since I found out about the challenge! I have wanted to try both a syrup gradient and a pond manicure FOREVER, but I refused until I got the Sunsational jellys I’ve been lusting after since their release. I finally got four of the creams for Christmas n about 3-4 weeks ago the rest of the collection with the exception of the teal jelly (the name escapes me atm). Ever since I’ve seen Chalkboards Nails syrup mani, I fell in love n had to do it! Clearly this was inspired **cough cough copied** but the genius Chalkboard Nails is.
Day 3: Frost = Total fail!! When I think of frosty np, I think of grannys wearing shades of rose n mauve….I was going to do a granny mani…..but NOOOOO I couldn’t get a frosty, dirty, salty car window outta my brian…..so I went with it. This will be re-done….I wouldn’t have even posted this failure but its a challenge n Im doing all of them ontime!! It may not look it, but there is frost under there…i frankened one from 2 light ugly frosts n a few drops of brown creams. Then I sponged the same creams over it cause it looked more metallic than frosty to me and I needed to dirty it up! Fail.
Day 3 of Gnarly Gnails Neverending Pile Challenge: Random untried. Sadly there is 1 untried in this mani….OPI’s My Vampire Is Buff. Tbh I just purchased this bad boy maybe a day or 2 before this challenge started. Ive wanted to try it FOREVER n finially got around to buying it. My go to neutral is usually OPI’s My Boyfriend Scales Walls….but lemme tell u, this is a new fav. This is my first neon/nude mani n I AM IN LOVE! I couldnt stop looking at my hands…..such a simple yet effective design. Expect many more nude/neon manis for sure!!
Untrieds used: 1….Total unused: 9 :)
Day 2 of Gnarly Gnails neverending pile challenge - pastel. I am not really a pastel girl however, rainbow is one of my favorite colours, so this will do :)
Day 1 of Gnarly Gnails Neverending Pile Challenge….. What I wanted to do originally was a total fail. I wont get into details but this was inspired by Chelsea Queen. I wanted to do a monochromatic mani with a Clairs glitter polish I got ages ago. Untrieds used: 3
Clair’s glitter holo - Under the Sea
Sally Girl 322 - unnamed….mirco glitters in clear base
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri - Mint Sprint
This mani was a request from a friend of mines husband. I actually already had this on my “to do” list since its my dads fav team. Yeah, I’m not a fan of this at all…..clearly I need more practice painting mini indians lol….I will not be redoing this one!!
Tissue Box Tuesday…..I sware this wasn’t late….i fell asleep editing it yesterday! The colours r pretty good except for the peach…..its way brighter in real life….camera refused it.
Starting April 7th I am in a challenge started by Gnarly Gnails (I was chatting with her before I knew who it was and totally fan girl freaked out when I realized who I was talking to….cause im cool)….the purpose is to use untried polishes. Ive know about it for a few week n ever since have probably already used a good 25 lol! So keep an eye out, not only am I going to use a plethora of untrieds, I am also going to try my hardest to do a new technique or mani Ive yet to try as well as untried nail art stuffs. I cant wait…super excited!!
Wanted to do something quick, ez and cute….mission accomplished. I have most of the City Flourish collection atm however, I am missing the 2 shades I want the most….they r sold out everywhere. I have a mani in mind for when I get them that uses a bunch and so I didn’t wantbto use any until I get those shades…..I had to for this mani however…..this pink is soooo pretty….for some odd reason my camera couldn’t capture it in any light, if u want to look up swatches its China Glaze Spring in my Step although I’m sure uve seen a ton already.
I actually like this….I’m surprised though as I am sooooo not girly…..well, besides a mad obsession with nail polish!!
I’ve wanted to do this mani or a very long time….n I’m not happy with it…first off lol I forgot to file my nails….fail 1….n they r too short for this fail 2. Also EVERYTHING stuck to the matte n it looked horrible within a few hrs. Not my fav.
I finially went and did “The Brea”. I showed my friend/ nanny a picture from a very talented nail artist named dndang….I’m pretty sure its a boy….his use of colours n techniques although not really my style r brilliant….anyway its totally her and since I showed her maybe 8 months ago…all she wears is this style in different colours….so I’ve nicknamed it “The Brea”. I did not do his design justice…..seriously this boy is fantastic!!
I was super a$$ tired last night n wanted something bright n quick…..I originally painted zebra but didn’t like it much, so I switched to tiger n I love it….quick, ez and bright….WIN! This was an untried $1.25 Billie polish I scored at Dollartree…..I got a ton of good ones there….this one is called electric coral n I’m fairly positive its a dupe of a nina polish I forget the name of….I haven’t tried them all yet, but so far awesome formulas n colours…..def a good buy!
This is as true to colour as I could get……I didn’t use my lightbox because I took this outside at work….I wasn’t expecting the colour to be the best outside on a cloudy day and snapped it for fun! She’s a gorgeous neon and as most of u know neons don’t play nice with cameras….its a tad brighter in person n slightly more coral but this is pretty close!
Welcome to all my new followers and thanks!!!!!!
HAPPY ST PATRICK’S DAY!!!! China Glaze Running In Circles is the BEST green glitter polish…..in love!!
This was a nail fail/ accidental win. I loved the red flowers I did in my last mani and wanted to recreate it with different colours….Ive wanted to use yellow forever so I did…..its soooo not as good and I really don’t like them. By the time I finished my one hand it was super late and I had to be up in 3 hours so I literally did the other in 30 seconds if that….guess what…..I like it much better!! So my mismatched hands were a fail-win!!!!
This mani believe it or not was inspired by Avon….a Mark makeup bag to be exact. Although I love this, I think it may have looked better on longer nails. I LOVE how the flowers turned out n am def doing a full set just like them :)
